Hexagram 7

I. The Oracle 

A. Hexagram 7 is called Shi, or Leading. Other common variations are The Army and The Soldiers. The lower trigram is Kan: gorge or water, and the upper trigram is Kun: field or earth.        

B. The Judgment

   1. The Army. The army needs perseverance
       And a strong man.
   2. Good fortune without blame.

C. The Image

  1. In the middle of the earth is water:
      The image of The Army.
  2. Thus the superior man increases his masses,
      By generosity toward the people.

II. My interpretation 

A. "Discipline"

As with any soldier setting out to complete a mission, do not let personal feelings intersect the command of duty. Always remember Duty First, and then all will farewell. Within the plane of organizational activities, there are leaders and there are followers. If one is to assume the position of leadership at any given moment one cannot come to the table half-stepping when above all, one has been given a position of authority.

Stay on top of your underlings do not let them relax their toes. Ensure that the right people occupy the right positions, do not promote an underling – just because. Have a factual reason to strengthen the base of your rank and file. Remember the weakest link is the weakest link.

When it comes to educating the people as to where they now stand, and on which direction they should begin to move, it will take a leader who must be endowed with a number of qualities, which should include; experience, one who is viable, well-aged, and one who is of firm correctness.

Lastly, the army is an institution centered on discipline, but let us remember that a man of great leadership qualities is fair and just, and should at times, adhere to leniency.

Hexagram 3

I. The Oracle 

A. Hexagram Three is related to Difficulty at the Beginning. Another variation would be The idea of a coming together of two people, and the creation of a third, or water above and thunder below, which gives rise to wet weather and thunderstorms during this lapse of the year. Let us not forget The Three Wise Men, and there is Mary, Joseph, and Jesus.
The main Idea is, I am looking at this particular hexagram on My Calendar of Days, a lot of Credence folks. I have taken the first step and, we are getting there.

   1. Now is a good time to reinforce your current position, do not seek any new goals or destinations at this time, the keyword is consolidation. Again, Difficulty at the Beginning, determination, and persistence promises great success, hence you might give out, but do not give up. Keep your focus on your desired oasis.
   2. Difficulty, stoppings and goings, we will eventually get there

B. The Image

  1. Water over Thunder
      a) Check your bearing before moving towards your planned destination, stay with the Tried and True
      b) Thus hold to your plan do not become fickle or haphazard about your personal goals, stay true to your Golden Mean

II. My interpretation 

A. The difficulty at the Beginning has more to do with when two people connect they will indeed create a third person, a hybrid. The relationship is a slow process, which entails difficulty at the beginning thereby lending to the desired effect of the empty-nest outcome.
So with this image, we see a child is born, learns how to walk, adapts to social patterns of his or her proximity, finishes colleges and completes that pattern, ideally, that is what is hoped for. With this we can also see that the dangerous time is during the hour just before birth, a number of things could go wrong.
Difficulty followed by sublime success, that is if one stays on a righteous path, such as from the crib to college, and completes the cycle. Between the two extremes, there is a decision process, the righteous course/path brings just rewards.

   1. Once again, now is not a good time to proceed in a different direction other than the planed, revision is ok, but a complete overhaul of your plans is not warranted at this time.In another sense we might see Retrenchment, meaning hold your horses as you might want to get a good bearing on which direction the oasis you are seeking is, with confidence, located, that oasis will hold the lifesaving water for your horses/means for the furtherance of your strategic goals. Do not be fooled by the distant cloud behind you as you progress. And again, it is not an auspicious time to advance forward at the moment, we are somewhat sprouting at this time, and we need also at this time to wait and appoint help. At this stage of the game do not force things to a premature completion, find a means to maintain and fortify your current position, even if it calls for waiting for that rain cloud behind us to catch up. The Manager, knows when to halt, such as did the Three Wise Men. Three Wise Men came to the end of their journey to ensure that a Greater Wise Man should fare well on his difficult journey step by step as he starts to bring order out of confusion within this world of Thisness.

Utilize the calendar to gain a better understanding of past, present, and future events and outcomes, with a focus on determining when too fast.

 

As an expert in this field, I highly recommend observing hexagram 36 days on your calendar as an opportunity for atonement through fasting for three days. Personally, I find that consuming raw, fresh fruit juice during this time helps purify my body and clears my mind for better decision-making. In fact, I make it a point to take a three-to-seven-day vacation from work during this time to fully reap the benefits. This not only removes toxins and obstructions from my body, but also protects me from any self-inflicted harm, as hexagram thirty-six suggests in its reflection of Injury. To prevent such harm, I suggest avoiding harmful choices such as alcohol and cigarettes, and instead practicing meditation or yoga. Avoiding excessive television consumption is also recommended.

 

Hexagram 1, The Creative, is a powerful symbol that represents the relationship between humankind and the divine. Similarly, Hexagram 36 reminds us to exercise caution during certain periods of our lives. Whether it be during the three days leading up to a significant date or the three days following, we must be mindful of the bell curve pattern and avoid any unnecessary risks. Another potential pitfall to beware of is consuming contaminated water, which can have disastrous consequences. So, tread carefully and stay vigilant, especially at night.

 

The main determining factor is the relationship to "My Calendar of Days." Essentially, it appears to be the overall pattern of events that the I Ching provides an indicator for each day. These events can be seen as cyclical, thus acting as a constant calendar. Furthermore, on Saturdays, this includes the Lotto machine. But before anything else, locate your birthdate on the calendar and analyze it.
