5 Easy Steps to Make Money Online Through Amazon Drop Shipping

5 Easy Steps to Make Money Online Through Amazon Drop Shipping

By Uzochukwu Godwin

There are different ways and platforms to make money online, one of them that has gained popularity recently is drop shipping through Amazon. Many people are making thousands of dollars doing this business.

Drop shipping has its advantages over the conventional online store where you have to stock the goods in your store and ship when you receive an order.

Here are 5 easy steps to get started if you have considered venturing into a drop shipping business.

1. Open account on Amazon as a Seller.

The foremost action to take when starting drop shipping business is to open an account on Amazon as a seller. There are two types of accounts that you can open: Professional and individual account. If you are starting out and not sure of selling more than 40 products in a month, it is recommended that you go for the Individual account. However, it is important you know the benefits and disadvantages of any account you are opting for.

Here are pros and cons to guide you in making decision on which account to sign up for:

For Individual Account:

You are not allowed to use 3rd party services like Repricers and Inventory Lab. You are not qualified to list your product in the Buy Box. You cannot apply to list your product in restricted categories of Amazon stores. There is $0.99 fee per item sold.

For Professional Account:

You can make use of a spreadsheet to upload various items at once utilizing the seller central. You will have access to more reports in the seller board. You are qualified to list your product in the Buy Box. You can apply to list your products in restricted categories. You will pay $40 monthly fee plus the $0.99 fee per item sold. You can build new product pages for your products.

It is important to note that you can choose to upgrade your account at any time.

2. Find the best low-cost drop ship suppliers.

Most drop shippers make good profit using the best platform- Salehoo, to find perfect drop shippers for products that they intend to sell.

To get started, sign up to paid Salehoo account in order to utilize their best tools and features. Search for drop shippers close to you that can ship faster with lesser shipping costs.

Why it is advisable to use this platform is because, most suppliers do not have budget for social media marketing, rather they carry the marketing expenses over to lowering product costs. So, they'd prefer subscribing to Salehoo than doing Google marketing.

Beside it will require more effort on the suppliers' part to achieve success with PPC marketing so they prefer a dedicated platform for it.

3. Search for low-cost but high-selling products.

When you find a supplier that suits your specifications, look through his catalogue to locate those items that are not expensive but are also selling very well. Ensure that the price difference between what is offered for that item on Amazon and what the supplier is selling is significant enough to make you some profit.

Even if you decide to source for sellers outside the Salehoo platform, the most important thing is that there is profit enough to cover for cost in time and money.

4. Write a well-detailed and search engine optimized titles and descriptions on Amazon.

Now that you are ready with your products, proceed to list them on your Amazon store. Ensure you write SEO product descriptions to enable your products rank high on Amazon search result.

5. Go ahead and start marketing your products using different digital marketing system.

You can outsource the marketing to freelancers on platform like Fiverr.

Trust me, drop shipping is not as hard as it seems. You just need to take a step!

Eleven Steps to a Better Cup of Coffee

Eleven Steps to a Better Cup of Coffee

If you are like most coffee drinkers, you probably think you are already getting an awesome cup of coffee. However odds are that you can probably still improve the quality by following these eleven steps:

1. Use Quality Coffee Beans

Stay out of the grocery stores! OK that is a serious statement, but seriously do not buy coffee beans at the grocery store. No one knows when it was roasted and that is a critical, key point in coffee freshness. These beans are known for being stale, whether they are in the gravity bins (especially stale!) or bagged (usually stale!). No one really knows how long the beans have been in the bins or bags. Buy your coffee from an area independent coffee shop or artisan coffee roaster that can verify the roasting date. This is the only way to know you are buying freshly roasted coffee beans of gourmet quality. Their reputation is on the line so they strive for the best quality coffee freshly roasted.

2. Store Properly Remove your beans from the original bag and put in an airtight container like Tupperware or Glad Ware. The more opaque the container, the better to keep harmful light out. Extreme light like keeping coffee in a glass jar on the sink can cause deterioration of your beans, allowing your final cup of coffee to taste flat or stale.

Do not store in the freezer or refrigerator. Keep them in an airtight container in a cool, dry and dark place like a cupboard or pantry. Refrigerators harbor many odors and coffee is very porous. It will act like a sponge to odors whether it's ground or whole bean. Freezers can cause freezer burn, and the flavor oils to crack and lose flavor. These oils are where the flavor is. Storing in the freezer freezes the surface condensation each time the coffee is taken out of the freezer.

Excess moisture will cause your beans to stale faster and shorten the life span of your coffee so a cool, dry and dark place it recommended for storage.

3. Proper Grind and Grind Just Before Using

The grind of the coffee matters. Your coffee should be ground for the type of brewing method you are using. Coarse for French press and single serve, fine for espresso. The in between matter but for most auto-drip makers your grind should be just finer than coarse meaning that when you rub it between your fingers the grinds should feel similar to typical bread crumbs. Espresso grinds should feel like somewhere between sugar and powdered sugar. Also, by using a burr grinder your coffee will receive less friction than a typical blade grinder giving your grinds less chance to get scorched during grinding.

Coffee is very porous and will absorb odors and air (oxygen) very fast. Oxygen will make your coffee taste really bad! So, the longer your coffee is ground and not used the longer it has to stale and make a bad cup.

4. Measure Properly

Weigh your coffee before you grind it. To make a good, well-rounded cup of coffee you should use approximately.75oz (22g) of coffee beans to every 8oz of cold water. You can +/- to taste but this is a good starting point.

5. Purified Water at Precise Temperature

Fresh, clean tap water (purified is best) or quality spring water is recommended. Do not use mineral water, distilled water or tap water with any type of odor. It will make your coffee taste bad. The water should be between 195-205 degrees when ready to brew. At this temperature, the coffee will get proper extraction to optimize the flavor oils and caramelized sugars inside the coffee bean. This is hard to accomplish with most home brewers as the heating elements are not heat adjustable nor are they reliable to heat to the proper temperature at all. Good home coffee brewers will cost about $200 but are well worth it and last a lot longer. If you can, try the single cup pour over methods available or other brewing methods such as French press or siphon. The taste difference is remarkable. Google search each method for more information.

6. Brew Just Enough to Drink

Letting your brewed coffee sit waiting is not a good idea. And more so please do not let it sit on the hot plate! This is a good way to cook your coffee. Constant 'keep warm' mode like this will make it taste bitter. If you have to brew more than one cup and are not going to finish is right away, get an airpot of air tight hot container to keep it in. Still drink it within an hour or so but it will buy your more time.

7. Let it Cool

By letting your coffee cool to about 170 degrees (for black coffee) you will not only avoid burning your mouth, you will also get a more enjoyable coffee experience because you will taste the true essence of what coffee is all about: the brightness, the chocolaty notes, the citrus notes, the spices. It's all there, get a little geeky! If you insist on pouring cream and sugar in your coffee, forget #7 and for #8 respectively!

8. Drink it Black

This is the coffee geek purist in me coming out! I used to drink my coffee with cream and sugar all the time until I got into the coffee business years ago. Society decided cream and sugar was the norm because of bad tasting coffee, not because coffee tastes bad. Coffee used to be bitter as a rule, but that was your father's cup! Most likely the canned stuff from the grocery store. Ick! That is the old-school coffee made from Robusta beans, a low-grade coffee. Today the high quality coffee beans are called Arabica and you get them from coffee houses and artisan coffee roasters. When beans are blended and roasted properly black coffee is not bitter. It may take some getting used to but I assure you that you are missing a lot of great tasting coffee by adding cream and sugar!

9. Throw Out Any Leftover Brewed Coffee

This is part of #6 above, but deserves its own number. If you have brewed coffee left over past an hour in an airpot or air-tight container, throw it out. Brewed coffee has a life span as well and letting it cook itself in a container is not part of it.

10. Throw Out Any Leftover Coffee Beans

OK let me clarify! By this I mean the coffee that is left over after 21 days. Coffee beans have a life span of approximately 21 days from the day it is roasted. I prefer to drink mine within 10 days but that is just the coffee geek again. If you can span your coffee for use within 21 days of the day it's roasted you will get a better tasting and far more superior cup. I know, you are asking "how do I know when my Seattle's Best or Newman's Own coffee beans were actually roasted?" Well, see #1 above for your answer.

11. Rinse and Repeat

That says it all! If you follow these steps I promise you will notice a more flavorful and tasty cup of brew!

SFI Affiliate Program Review by a Seven Year Affiliate

SFI Affiliate Program Review by a Seven Year Affiliate

By Donovan Baldwin

If you have spent any time on the Internet, and particularly if you have been trying to figure out how to make money online, you have run across the SFI affiliate program.

Perhaps you have taken the opportunity to investigate it further, perhaps not. However, if you have investigated a little more deeply, you have seen a lot of claims about how great it is, and maybe even a few comments about the SFI "scam."

Well, what is the truth about SFI? Let's review the program, shall we?

while people obviously want to know if they can make money with the SFI affiliate program, let's deal with the "scam" issue first. After all, if SFI is a scam, then there's no sense going any further, is there?

Since I do not know how much experience YOU have with Internet marketing, or network marketing, let me make a couple of points before I get to the question, "Is SFI a scam?"

I have been in direct (mail) marketing since 1992, in direct marketing since 1996, and in Internet marketing since 1998. I have seen all kinds of scams, and I have seen all kinds of claims for and against many of the same programs. Here's what I have observed.

While there definitely ARE quite a few rip-offs and scams out there, many people who make claims against network marketing and Internet marketing programs make the claims because they fell prey to hyped-up claims about what they could expect from joining the program. Some people join and sit back and wait for something to happen. Some take a few half-hearted swings at selling some product or signing up distributors and then give up.

Here's the common thread. ALMOST ALL of those who sign up for network marketing and/or Internet marketing programs HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING! At the same time, almost all have been signed up by someone who has raised their expectations to a fever pitch by making inflated claims about how much money they WILL MAKE, or about how fast their business will grow.

The bottom line is, the growth of any business, whether it is selling cosmetics (Avon), motor oil (Amsoil), or a broad range of goods and services (SFI) will depend on the time, effort, and talent of the business owner or operator.

The question of whether a business is or is not a scam does not depend on the number of people who have been successful with it, but whether or not it can and will deliver the goods, services, and potential profits it claims. I have been with SFI since 1992, and when I make a sale, my customer gets the product, and I get the commission. I have purchased and used many of the products, and I have been satisfied with what I have received for my payment.

Apparently my customers were satisfied as well, as they have often come back and purchased again and again. There have been dissatisfied customers, there always are in retail, and I am sure that many of them do not have a good opinion of SFI.

Looking at it this way, if SFI is a scam because some who have done business with it are dissatisfied, then so are Sears, Wal-Mart, and Best Buy.

There is the issue of misleading claims, however.

Well, once someone signs up to be distributor for ANY program, there is not much a company can do to prevent them from making inflated or misleading claims. I remember a few years ago reading a complaint about one of the most honest companies I know. Someone had actually brought a lawsuit against the company. What had happened was that one of the independent distributors had made false claims, directly against company policy, but, as a result, everyone assumed that it was the company making the claim.

There ARE a lot of people trying to rip you off out there in Internet-land, and some people who just believe that "advertising" means making the biggest, loudest, most audacious claim you can.
All I know is that if you go to one of my SFI websites and purchase something, you will get what you were promised at the price that was quoted, and I will get my commission. If that is a scam, then I am confused about the definition of the word.

Sorry that took so long, but, when it comes to SFI, and other network marketing and Internet marketing companies, that issue seems to be a big one.

Anyway, you came here for an SFI affiliate program review. So, what IS SFI? What does it do? What can YOU do with it?

SFI began about 11 years ago as "Six Figure Income". Over time, it acquired an image of being a get-rich-quick scheme due to the wild and high-flying claims made by many SFI affiliates. Also, however, although starting with only one product available for sale only in the United States, it progressed to being an international organization offering a huge range of products, and the SFI business opportunity, to over 100 countries.

In fact, founder Gery Carson's dream was to create a business opportunity available to anyone with a computer and Internet access anywhere in the world. That dream has been a reality for several years now, as thousands of SFI affiliates sell millions of dollars in product every year.
As businesses will, over time, the original Six Figure Income affiliate program became the "Secure Future International Marketing Group", retaining the SFI mark which had become known around the world.

Recently, Gery Carson launched a new and improved SFI affiliate program based on two sites in particular. TripleClicks and EyeEarn.

Of course, you are reading this to find out what you get if you choose to sign up as an SFI affiliate.
As it has been since the start of SFI, every new SFI affiliate receives not only one, but a range of free SFI websites, a free online portal leading people to several online stores for name products, free training on how to market online, and an array of free marketing materials, including banners, flyers, text ads, and presentations.

There is no cost for any of this to the SFI affiliate, but he or she is tasked with the responsibility of leading people to one of their websites. After that, the SFI infrastructure takes over. People arrive at a professionally designed, and regularly updated, website. Should they make a purchase, they are automatically assigned as a customer of the SFI affiliate whose website they purchased from. SFI will see to processing the payment, delivering the product, and even make the refund if required.

The affiliate receives a commission for the sale.

Many SFI products are either subscriptions to a service, such as web hosting, membership in the IAHBE (International Association of Home Business Entrepreneurs), or the IAB Health Benefits Plan: or are expendable products such as nutritional supplements which need to be re-ordered from time to time. Sales of products such as these allow the SFI affiliate to not only make a commission on the original sale, but to create recurring, or residual, income.

Sales of some products will allow the SFI affiliate to receive points, and, with enough points, they can begin to create a downline of other SFI affiliates whose sales will generate additional income.
The SFI affiliate program is an excellent place for the beginning Internet marketer to get started for the following reasons:

1. It is entirely free to join
2. It provides all marketing materials, including several professionally designed websites for free
3. It provides an extensive training program in Internet marketing (free)
4. It offers a broad range of products and services for the SFI affiliate to choose to target

If you cannot succeed with the SFI affiliate program, there is a good chance that you will not succeed with Internet marketing at all, as your only task would be to lead potential, and interested, customers to the websites provided by the SFI affiliate program.

Form and Function in Design

Product Functionality Verses Product Design

By James Byrd, MBA
Product Functionality Versus That of Product Design
In terms of product functionality, we are talking about product differentiation. The differentiation of a specific product will house its prominent features. These are the identified features of a product that are identified by a company via surveys of recent buyers and incorporated within the architectural design of the product, after the incremental study or survey. These various heuristic features are brought together as a cost-conscious effort to satisfy a value-added need to customers.
The success of this differentiation process depends on a company being able to avoid “feature fatigue”, that is, the company must prioritize enhancements of features from time to time, and impact upon customers the benefits of these enhancements and capabilities, (Kotler; Keller, 2009, p. 351). And with this we are talking product re-engineering, that is where a company will from time to time or during set intervals, study and do modifications of the internal mechanisms or the functionality of an existing product in order to reconstitute it with new features and capabilities, to the tune of taking advantages of newly emerging technologies, and again this is done without major changes to the inherent functionality and purpose of the product, (Product re-engineering, n.d.).
What’s happening is that the architectural design is somewhat static; it’s the embodiments of the architectural design that is reconstructed with incremental changes in order to come to terms with the dynamics of innovative technologies.
Now at the other end of the equation, we have the product design phase and its efforts to garner brand success. Product design and product functionally, go hand in hand, with product differentiation and position as a way to move towards a designer’s gaining some insight into the totality of features that will affect how a particular product will perform, how the product will look, and how the product will appeal to both a consumer’s emotional and rational sides. Next, to the basic functional uses of a product, product design will impact how well these functions are carried out, (Kotler; Keller, 2009, p. 354)
