12.Mycal8 - Stagnation

I. The Oracle

A. Hexagram Twelve can be termed as Pi or Stagnation, some additional terms can be seen as Obstruction, something that is Anti-robust. "The Great Going -- The Small Coming." The lower trigram is K'un: the earth, female, passive, receptive, and the upper trigram is Ch'ien: Heaven, the creative, male, active. The Wife.

B. The Judgment

   1. Standstill | Evil people do not further
The perseverance of the superior man.
   2. The great departs, the small approaches.

C. The Image

  1. Heaven and earth do not unite:
      a) The image of Standstill.
Thus, the superior man falls back upon his inner worth.
      b) In order to escape the difficulties.
He does not permit himself to be honored with revenue. Sirius -ly.

II. Another interpretation

From <https://www.tarot.com/i-ching/hexagrams/standstill>

12: Standstill

In periods of standstill or stagnation, confusion and disorder can prevail. Small-minded and self-serving forces arise when the powers of clarity and creativity are on the decline; the inmates are overrunning the prison and its guards. In such times, summon up your fortitude, don’t shine your light, simply withdraw. The wise take shelter in their own integrity and quietly remain faithful to their principles. Retreat from public activities and common exchanges until the times favor direct action. Concentrate on personal affairs with a humble dignity, even if that means letting go of some short-term rewards.

Desiring to change such a situation too quickly creates extra conflict. By accepting some hardship, while striving to maintain integrity, you are preparing for future growth. Remember that a seed of prosperity is often hidden inside the husk of misfortune.

"inclosing"

This is a matter of belief, whether one came to do this or not. Change is the seasons of the year, and as well as, or should I say, the people’s sentiments about a certain public action. All I can see with this one is that someone was given the task of interpreting the stars, and here I am thinking that Nostradamus had completed that task a long time ago, along with the exacting factors of Fei shui. We are getting there, “The Future: 2020.

10.mycal8 -- Conduct

Hexagram 10

by James Byrd

I. The Oracle

A. Treading Carefully, with this we see it is best at this time for "The Superior Man," or one to display correct conduct, there will be some progress if one does not, intentionally or unintentionally step on the Tiger`s Tail. We must guard our speech and behavior so that any premature actions do not bring the ceiling down on all in the room. Hexagram Ten in short means not to tread on the tail of the strong, their position is just that, the place of the strong. When all puzzle pieces are correctly adjutant they are in their correctly appointed places. With respect to all, do not overreach your authority.

   1. The Tiger`s Tail.
   2. This means that one must mind his or her manners or bad things will happen, in most cases, staying within the means, or middle way is the appropriate action at this time. The will of the people will suffice.

B. The Image

  1. Heaven above, the lake below, hence, we see that of the sky above that of a marsh. There the Tiger hides with his mighty claws waiting for the prey, you are not by nature his prey, so he ignores your scent, but you must be careful as not to step on his tail as you are now following very close to, 11 Peace. Focus on health and exercise.
      a) The image, thus the superior man discriminates between high and low, and thereby fortifies the thinking of the people. Carry Respect.
      b) Treading on the Tiger`s Tail. It does not bite the man. Success.

"When you are certain of ultimate success, it doesn’t matter even if you stomp on the tiger’s tail. The most important thing is to take action, when conditions are favorable. But great caution and consideration should be taken beforehand, so that the outcome is clear before you make your move." ~ 10 Trending Carefully

II. My interpretation

A. The story is that of the one-eyed man who thinks he sees all, but steps on the Tiger`s Tail, because he only sees things in one way, that of a Bravo who at the moment is acting out, and we can say, his aims are good but his modus operandi is somewhat too forceful, given the current situation. If only this person would be somewhat apprehensive during these well-tuned times.

If so, there will be good fortune for all. It is the prudent action of the people that should prevail, that mere act, will not be colluded towards any circumstance. If only the man would not jester on his own accord, but instead, act in accordance with the will of the people, let the audience vote on the answer, which will be the correct dynamics of that time

If this man is not of a quiet type and of a somewhat solitary type demeanor while occupying his correct potion, then all will not fall into place, completion is what we are after now folks. Mind you again, he is not the one the tiger is stalking, but if he steps into the wrong concerns without the consent of his people, there will be peril. Now if he does indeed watches his steps and heed the omens of time, all is well for all. There will be a crowd, you will be challenged, talking equals six, that of conflict, just do this, stay calm and proper

62.mycal8 -- Small Exceeding

I. The Oracle

A. Hexagram sixty-two is Xiao Guo, or Small Exceeding. Additional interpretations include Preponderance of the Small and Small Surpassing. The lower trigram is Gen: bound or mountain, and the upper trigram is Zhen: shake or thunder.

B. The Judgment

   1. The Preponderance of the Small. Success.
Perseverance furthers. Small things may be done; great things should not be done.
   2. The flying bird brings the message: It is not well to strive upward,

It is well to remain below. Great good fortune.

C. The Image

  1. Thunder on the mountain: (you heard?)
      a) The image of Preponderance of the Small.
      b) Thus, in his conduct, the superior man gives preponderance to reverence.

In bereavement, he gives preponderance to grief.
In his expenditures, he gives preponderance to thrift.

II. Another interpretation

A. "Small Exceeding"

Being somewhat modest is the theme of this hexagram. Do not overextend beyond your natural limits, although internally you might feel this is a time for you to take on more, for now, stay within your limits, sir.

As a means of staying in tune with the times, we are told to dwell on the idea of thrift and that of accepting the rewards of our small workings. Taking the low road would be a good idea for now. Again, do not fly too high as to overextend our assets, take things as they come good or bad, be subjective about all matters for the moment.

Do not get overinvolved with anger, impatience, or despair. Although you do hold a precarious position at the moment, which is above and beyond the ordinary, negative tenets such as anger, impatience, and despair, could lead to an avoidable downfall.

Have the mindset of humility and acceptance of your appointed position, be creative and take things as they come. Do not be so much objective with entrenched and rigid mandates. Take it one step at a time.

19.mycal8 -- Approach

Hexagram 19

By: James Byrd

I.The Oracle

A. Hexagram 19 is called Lin, or Nearing. Other variations are Approach and The Forest. The lower trigram is Dui: open, swamp or forest. The upper trigram is Kun: field or earth.

B. The Judgment

   1. Approach has supreme success.
       Perseverance furthers.
   2. When the eighth month comes,
       There will be misfortune.

C. The Image

  1. The earth above the lake:
      The image of Approach.
  2. Thus the superior man is inexhaustible

      In his will to teach,
      And without limits
In his tolerance and protection of the people.

II. Another interpretation

A. "Approach"

For now, the idea of this hexagram tends to move towards a leader who for now should not use force to meet his objectives, and better yet, he should use persuasion as a way of reasoning with people. The use of force at this time would be very counterproductive.

Also, we must remember that for not all is well, but the ebb and flow of time dictate that sometimes worse times do occur as a counterbalance next to good, and we are talking around the lunar month of September. Take the good with the bad, but still make way and have a contingency plan. Above all, be truthful to your students. Let humility be your tool to soften the heart of the student, use empathy.

13.mycal8 -- Fellowship

Hexagram 13

By: James Byrd

I. The Oracle

A. Hexagram 13 is Tong Ren or Con-cording People. Additional interpretations include Fellowship with Men and Gathering Men. the lower trigram is Li: radiance or fire. The upper trigram is Qian: force or heaven.

B. The Judgment

   1. Fellowship with Men in the open.
       Success.
   2. It furthers one to cross the great water.
The perseverance of the superior man furthers.

C. The Image

  1. Heaven together with fire:
The image of Fellowship with Men.
  2. Thus the superior man organizes the clans
      And makes distinctions between things.

II. My interpretation

A. "Fellowship"

With this hexagram, we see a man who for all apparent reasons joins in fellowship with others who are somewhat not of his kind. He does so because they are within close proximity to his dwelling. If he was to limit his friendship to that of his closes family ties, there would be cause for regret, being that his social adaptions would be somewhat limited in scope. To take it even further, to do so would be as the tale of “The Allegory of the Cave” by Plato, signifies. It is the story of a group of people in a cave, and not knowing what the real world is really all about, like unto an Amazon tribe out in the wildness but on a different scale. These are the people who are Becoming close net friends out in the open, allegiances.

It is the job of the superior man to know what is what and to point this out preferably to the people nearby first. To know more one must extend his or her range of knowledge of prominent current issues, not just homegrown knowledge, not to the tune of, we only use chopsticks. Because it is proper to reflect the same when a person is extending their range of knowledge about friendship.

In this passage, we see a call for universal brotherhood ill regardless of inconsistencies. To serve is to serve. Always extend service to the betterment of all into the one.
