Hexagram 8

I.The Oracle 

A. Hexagram eight is related directly with Grouping. Another variation is the Holding Together or that of a puddle of water, it is not part of the sea or ocean, but still, it holds together within its low spot and therefore an Alliance:

   1. Holding Together brings good fortune
   2. Success comes from inquiring the oracle once again. Same as in marketing the early adopters will fare well, but for all latecomers, the hors d'oeuvres are depleted. It is now common knowledge.

B. The Image

  1. On the earth is water
      a) The image of Holding together
      b) Thus the kings of antiquity bestow the different states as fiefs and cultivated friendly relations with the feudal lords

II.My interpretation 

A. As it was said earlier on, that puddle of water will soon dry up and that is due to its position. If it could only conjoin with a larger body of water and enjoy a greater and profound presence.

   1. This hexagram has more to do with an Avatar who acts as a conduit that channels water off the roof directly to his immediate surrounds. Because of proximity, it has a telltale effect on the closest recipients. When it gets hot, unlike the ocean, the temperature of the puddle will drastically change, or maybe diminish that small body of water. One more time, which one makes the loudest noise, the small bell or the large bell? It is the aura of The Great Person that Affects. Learn more about Hexagram 8.

Hexagram 6

I. The Oracle 

A. Hexagram six is related to Conflict. Another variation would be the idea of a cautious halt during the moving forward with our fixed plans, or heaven above and water below, which I have noticed prove to be detrimental to drivers, the more water, the less traction. Going through to the end brings misfortune, that is unless you are going to see the Great Man, your doctor, that would be a good place to chance travel in order to have something done at this time.

   1. Now is not a good time to cross the great water. I say that because as the image depicts, that of conflict, with water below or anything involving water, be on the lookout. There is some headway if one observes and uses care during deliberation.
   2. Conflict

B. The Image

  1. Heaven and water go their opposite ways; danger and expansiveness
      a) The image of Conflict, the rabbit in the briar patch
      b) Thus, it furthers one to see the great man

II. My interpretation 

A. In terms of interrelating with other people, conflict evolves when we use speech to defile others, so with that, the moving of hands is the next stage of conflict and then the violation of others personal space. Over the years I have noticed that this hexagram brings with it a high number of wrecks, so be extra careful when traveling if you really have to move about today. Go your planned route and return with care.

   1. Again, now is not a good time to cross the great river, in plain words, keep travel at a minimal, if at all possible. Remember, the only resolution at this time is not to try and force or forge on into the unknown thereby wondering from "The Way." Be patient at this time and wait on The Will of Heaven, that is when we can say indeed, As Above, so below, Heaven over Heaven (Hexagram 1). Right now, we see the image of Heaven over water, that of conflict. Go out to the beach and look and believe me that Great White is out there somewhere, there is no bridge to cross that vastness, so again, be patient and wait on the will of heaven.

Hexagram 55

I. The Oracle 

A. Hexagram fifty-five with this we see Abundance and fullness. Another variation is The Abounding, or we see one how has it all, but he is still sad within our chateau with its dike. The thing he should do is be happy with the fullness and solitude of his situation. At this point, set back and count your beans.

   1. The Abundance, The superior man at this point will see that there is a need to judge lawsuits and declare outcomes as fairly as possible. Improvement is necessary, it is the only avenue towards prosperity.
   2. Abundance has Success
Be Happy; you are where you planned to be.

B. The Image

  1. Both thunder and lightning come:
      a) The image of Abundance
      b) Thus the superior man decides lawsuits and carries out just punishments.

II.My interpretation 

A. For now, with Abundance, we must learn to live now with contentment as we inventory our harvest. Our prosperity has been imparted upon us, and us along, be happy and enjoy your just reward. You are where you planned to be. And remember; -Only he who remains inwardly free of sorrow and care can bring in a time of abundance.- (1)

   1. With the lower tri-gram, we see Sun, which has much to do with wind. For the upper tri-gram, we see thunder. So there we have thunder above wind as the impending image. More than likely, it will rain today. For a little while close and open communications between people.

Hexagram 54

I.The Oracle 

A. Hexagram Fifty-Four I can say this at this time, there is nothing to be gained by advancing at this time. The Marrying Maiden is accompanied by her younger sister who is the vested consort. With these terms, all is well, but if by chance the consort is the older sister all is not well. On all accounts, the marriage can without penalties be canceled until the situation fairs well. To hold such an important event as a wedding at such an inopportune moment, would be the same as a cloudy sky but no rain.

   1. The Marrying Maiden.
   2. This means the end of life as a maiden and the beginning of motherhood for a young girl if this position is adopted at the correct time.

B. The Image

  1. Thunder over the Lake
      a) The image, one must know this in order for there to be a favor ending one must take measures to ensure a correct and timely beginning.
      b) Thus the superior man is careful in the differentiation of things so that each finds its correct place and time. Now I ask you, is the moon nearing full now?

II.My interpretation 

A. The main theme with Hexagram 54 is, do not be overoptimistic at this time. Things, in this case, could go wrong during the duration of a quick marriage if granted at an inopportune moment.

   1. I agree, no one is perfect but tries at best to ensure that the happiness of that significant other is handled with care when planning such a memorable event as an, one and only, everlasting wedding. I can also say this after the next full moon goes for it. -This is full, that is full.- Could be that is why, -Honey Moon.- Marriage is good, but we must start with a good beginning in order to end with a good and auspicious duration which should lead to that of Abundance.
