Water flowing over the ground is described as a rice field, and people are planting rice on the field. Note that all the people are adults now, in contrast to the childs in the previous hexagram. We have grown a step from the age of The Army when people start to gather together, and have now taken a step into the phase of stable development.
Farming, especially rice transplantataion, depends highly on human power, and so traditionally, people used to help each other during the rice-planting season. It corresponds well to the theme of this hexagram, cooperation and harmony between many people.
In this image, men work in the field and a woman prepares lunch, which is called sae-cham. Such traditional distinction of the role implies that yin and yang should play its own role to balance the whole, and to keep sustainability of the system.
