I.The Oracle
A. Hexagram twenty-one is Shi Ke, or Gnawing Bite. Additional interpretations are Biting Through plus Biting and Chewing. Its lower trigram in Zhen: shake or thunder. Its upper trigram is Li: radiance or fire.
2. It is favorable to let justice be administered.
B. The Image
1. Thunder and lightning:a) The image of Biting Through.
b) Thus the kings of former times made firm the laws
Through clearly defined penalties.
