The Truth

The quote often attributed to Confucius carries a timeless message:
“Three things cannot long be hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.”
Whether in personal relationships, leadership, business, or spiritual practice, truth has a way of revealing itself over time. Just as the sun rises and the moon appears despite clouds or darkness, reality eventually comes into view. Attempts to conceal motives, actions, or consequences may succeed temporarily, but not indefinitely.
The phrase “Hari Om Tat Sat” adds a profound spiritual dimension:
Hari – a name of the Divine, often associated with the remover of obstacles and suffering.
Om – the primordial sound, representing the universal consciousness.
Tat – “That,” referring to the Supreme Reality beyond individual identity.
Sat – Truth, Being, or Ultimate Reality.
Together, Hari Om Tat Sat can be understood as:
“The Divine is the ultimate Truth.”
When combined with the Confucian saying, the message becomes:
No matter how long illusion, deception, or misunderstanding persists, truth ultimately emerges because truth is woven into the very fabric of reality.
Reflection
This thought resonates with the wisdom of Hexagram 61 – Inner Truth from the I Ching. Inner Truth teaches that sincerity and authenticity create harmony and trust. When one's actions align with truth, there is no need to maintain appearances or defend falsehoods. What is genuine naturally endures.
Likewise, Scripture echoes this principle:
“For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.”
— Gospel of Luke 12:2
Leadership Insight
For leaders, truth builds credibility. Transparency fosters trust. Organizations that align their words with their actions develop resilience, while those built on concealment eventually face exposure.
The lesson is simple:
The sun shines. The moon appears. The truth emerges. Live and lead in a way that welcomes that day.
Hari Om Tat Sat. 🙏
